TPW stopped at sg 1

Postby newbiboozer » Tue Jun 11, 2013 11:11 am

I have a TPW that I put down 13 days ago. 6 kg sugar 200gm tp 80gm lowland yeast 1/2 tsp citric acid. It has been bubbling away well. I came home yesterday no bubbles checked SG was 1 or 1000 however it goes. I give it a stir and put some Epsom salts and wound the temp up but still no bubbles this morning. Should I run it still

Yup, mine when they've cleared look a lot like fanta. If it's finished just let it sit for a few days for the yeast to drop out of suspension. It will taste better with less yeast and it clears quite well with no additives. Just a bit of patience and no heat will cause the yeast to settle. The colder the better if you can put the wash out in the shed or somewhere cold.
