What's this blue shit in my low wines?

Postby markus » Sun Jun 23, 2013 2:13 pm

Done a stripping run yestade and towards the end of the run got side tracked for a few minutes
And noticed this blue almost like little soggy breadcrumbs shit floating around in my low wines.
So I think I collected down to 10% :angry-banghead:
I know when I do my spirit run that should clear things up
But I'm just after extra reassurance that's it fine and won't have any contaminants??

Blue would indicate your wash was alkaline.

Had you used something to adjust ph?

Would have thought all the spirit would have a blue tinge.

Anything solid would be the late tails unless it puked. Should have been more oily than solid.

No didn't check PH as I wasn't doing generations.
It puked a little out the top of the keg but didn't get any in the spirit.
When I rubbed the blue shit between my fingers it felt a bit oily.
But no it would say it wasn't a solid.
