Just starting out and need some advise? then post it in here.

What is a Thumper

Hi all as the title Says What is a Thumper and how are they used.
I have been searching around for some good basic newbie info so i can understand what they are and how they work.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Basically it works as a secondary still, the vapour from the main boiler heats up the wash in the thumper and then the distillation process is repeated. so in effect you are doing a stripping run and a spirit run all in 1 go.

equipment: Did use Still Spirits Reflux
Now use 50l Keg with Pot head for Rum and Neutral stripping runs on gas .
LM/VM head with 1m packed 2" on Still Spirits boiler for Neutrals.
