Hi all,
Has anyone made a corn mash 'beer' and consumed it without distilling?
The reason I'm asking is I have the equipment and ingredients for mashing fermenting but wont have a still for a while yet. I wanted to try out a recipe and test my new found knowledge but wouldn't want to waste my time and all these lovely ingredients if it's going to be undrinkable.
If it is possible to turn out a nice mash beer, do I bottle it just before it's finished fermenting to get some bubbles in the bottle or??? don't want a bunch of glass hand grenades...

I don't know about corn beer but for bottling you would let it ferment out dry, as in completely finish fermenting so it has consumed all the available sugars, then prime your bottles with a small amount of sugar or carbonation drops.
