80 litre boiler 2 +2500 watt elements 4 in copper tower
5 of macks perf plates soldered in 3/4 to 1/2 reducer for the down comer dropping 50mm to a j trap staggered from plate to plate
200 mm to first plate 150 mm between plates
shotty is 500 long with 7 [i think]3/8 tubes
rc is 100 long with 10 1/2 in tubes
Load boiler with 70 litres of tpw
2 elements for about 1 hr to get temp
then one of to let it reflux for 15 min
water full bore in rc for reflux, reflux temp is around 20 deg
after 15 min set reflux temp to 38 deg and hit it with the full 5000 watts
Things I have found first off without packed section with 2 elements column seemed to flood[site glasses were full ]
when I first packed the extension I just pushed the scrubbers in with the next that was when I got the fastest reading after that I tried tight packing the column then it went shitfaced parrot was reading all over from 92 down to 80
so then took all the ss scrubbers out and loose packed it again yesterdays run with 70 litres of turbo run
[ for a mate ]it gave 1+1/2 litres every 10 min that's 9 litres per hr
On many a day I start loading the boiler at 8=30 am and its all over and cleaned up by 11=30am
For the sceptics theres been 2 people seen this run so far
