Patience is definitely a virtue in this game ;-)

And pre planning helps.

Or you could buy two boilers or two burners etc and run two at once. Or buy an 8 inch still and a 400 Litre boiler and be done with it :laughing-rolling:

Yeah, I find the stage that holds me up the most is the fermentation & clearing. If you have the room, get a few more fermenters so you can run batches back-to-back. As far as the distillation & cuts process, I wouldn't rush that bit. ;-)

yes you can pre heat a wash, that is not a problem just don't heat it over about 60' and it will be no worries. I have done this myself back in SA when pressed for time, I had one on a portable electric hotplate while running the other. Just keep ya wits about ya and don't let it get to hot :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Fermentation can be a problem, time wise.
Having considered this and having 30ltr or 50 or even 100ltr fermenters around... it takes up a lot of room.
So I'm thinking Bunnings sells a 300ltr water tank for $89.
This could easily give you 260 -280ltrs in one hit.
Now that puts all your eggs in one basket. :D :D

If you are running a pot still... then run two.
This would shorten up the time needed to get through the run.
2 x 50ltr kegs, each with a charge of 45ltrs.
Each run of about 4hrs.

That would mean with three 4hr? stripping runs you could do 270ltrs.
or have somewhere in the region of 50ltrs of 45% alcohol in 18hrs.
Water it down and do a spirit run, another 6-8hrs.
Start Friday night and finish Sunday afternoon.
Not forgetting you will need a decent water supply/tank to do so many runs that close together.

So a weekend of distilling would mean you don't need to distil again for a long, long time.
And after a weekend of distilling like that, you probably wouldn't want too. :laughing-rolling:

OR
Take your time over a few weekends and make it a pleasant experience. :handgestures-thumbupleft: ;-)

OR
Buy/build a 6" rig and boiler - achieves the same in a day.

Just a thought.
