vegimite wash

Just starting out and need some advise? then post it in here.

vegimite wash

Happy new year to all

Just sitting here and watch the T20 and a thought came to me. Has anyone made a wash out of vegimite or can you? As we all know that its yeast lol. I know its out there just curious

Yes you can use vegemite/marmite as a nutrient in a wash but the yeast is dead so you will still need to add a live yeast.
Its been done before and while it works TPW or Weetbix wash are far better alternatives

I wasn't going to make a wash out of vegimite just curious. Ill stick to making tpw

inmates used to use vegimite for trying to get there brews off ,
:)) so i was told when i went for the fremantle prison tour .

not sure where they got there yeast from ( probably jock yeast ,,,wouldnt know ) but there have been cases where they have been busted for alchole the humble vegemite :) >>? maybe

probably the bread or the fruit for a more tropical wild yeast but there have been cases of inmates brewing so to speak .
im not one of them .

Prison kitchens have bread yeast as most bake their own bread- so I am told.
Alaskan bottleggers bible goes into some details of making that kind of swill.

I heard vegimite is pretty much banned in prison. Thats what a mate told me lol
