Scored some copper pipe

Postby 1pot » Mon Jan 13, 2014 11:46 am

I,am looking to build a boka and have yet to get a keg but I think I have one lined up, this afternoon I am off to buy some pipe from a plumber. He has offered me some 4inch and a piece of 2 inch i think about 1400mm long .

The question is what would be the best size to use I know there are plenty of 2 inch bokas and would 4 inch just be over the top to hard, not fesable etc.

Thanks 1pot

4" will be fine. The bigger the diameter the faster you can run it. Never see a 4" bok in action but if you are going to go 4" you should spend the extra coin and go a bubbler with packed section. Good luck with the copper hunt :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Thanks Jay D I thought briefly about a bubbler but the thought scared me a bit so I thought I might stick to the boka.

The reason for my query was because the plumber has 2 bits for sale I wae wondering witch piece to get but I will get both ( $60) and keep the one I dont use for a rainyday.

:text-+1: great advice jayd thats what I did :handgestures-thumbupleft: guarantee you'll only run the bok a few times then you'll be itching to build the bubbler. It is so addictive ~x( . What's your plan for your boiler

i have bought both , The 4inch has a 2inch reducer on it so after 3 weeks when I build the bubbler it should be easier.

I think a 50 ltr keg is comming my way thanks to a top site member.
