I bought one with a view to adding them to the 5 Star store but....
I’ve only used it once and it got bloody hot, I meen really hot and at 100% I still wasnt getting full power to the element.
I won’t be using it again

Good to know Stig, was thinking about getting a few, one for element control, one for recirculating pump control and one for cooling tower fan control, but might look elsewhere. Some on eBay say they are 10000 watt, but just looking at them I doubt it. More research needed I think!

First go at putting a link up, so hope it works. Obviously you would need a sparky mate to finish this off by putting it in a box and maybe a fan, not to mention plugs and sockets, but just looking at it, I reckon a sparky might throw it in the bin.

My crappy Ebay SCR died halfway through a run, so I grabbed one of these Kegland units.

I've only run it once, but I found it had no issues. Didn't get too hot. I'm running a 2400w element.
