Holy crap. :o That looks bad. Hope you got that cleaned and dressed properly. Burns have a nasty habit of becoming infected.

How did you treat the burn they say to Cool the burn under cool running water for 20 minutes—this will stop the burning process and also help ease the pain. Having easy available water is a good first aid tool for burns and the quicker the better.

Under 5mins was in a cool water bath, running water was to painful put some burn cream on flamigel a dressing and bandage. Next day removed dressing saw it looked like crap and went to doc. They cut away dead skin applied flamezine oinment put on a dressing and bandage.

Each day i wash it under running water dry it with sterile gauze then ointment and bandage. It is definately healing and no sign of infection. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

So i am in the process of acquiring a new still from 5 star of course. At present i have my boiler on the ground and try and drain into a sewer vent. Seeing this burn i am thinking it might be better to pump it out. Does anyone do this ? What sort of pump would work. Is it worth trying to do.

Its illegal to pour hot liquids into the sewer probably little chance of being caught but sewers have a lot of fat they call them fatbergs and if the hot liquid melts the fat and the sewer gets blocked up when the fat cools may end up with a big problem if the fat is in your sewer and not the main sewer.
If you are going to empty out filling back up with tap water will cool down the quickest and can use the hose as a siphon and water the lawn.

Damn, I was planning on hooking my drain straight up to the sewer with an s&p trap so I could do back to back runs.
Might have to re think this.
