Postby maheel » Thu Jan 19, 2012 4:34 pm

well could be bad, it could be a miracle still with a new design we have not seen yet

or it could be a abortion of two stills that have mated ??

who knows BUT when i saw the price it just thought WTF !!!

What I don't understand is IMHO why would you waste the materials building it if you knew you were going to flatten/seal the end with a fucking hammer :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling:
At least he's done some research on vapour velocity and put an inlet somewhere close to the diametre of the outlet, he just fucked up sizing the column size :teasing-tease: , I reckon the vapour would slow down that much it would condense and flood :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling:
Looking at it I dont see how its a reflux rig

To me....and mind Ive had more than a couple of rums...........it looks like a pot still with some sort of coiled condenser stuck up its guts..........as stated....flat out seeing the screen so could be wrong.
The quality wording in the discription kinda suits the item for sale.

I thought that too Brigand, but I also thought it would rectify itself when you put the pond pump in a bucket :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling:

Not to get all American righteous or anything but.....What an arsehole, ripping people off (if some Darwin candidate buys either of those two bits of shit) and setting people up to make themselves sick. He should be publicly flogged.

Since everybody is so "up in arms" about this idiot (and rightly so)
Maybe everybody should take the time to click the "Report This Item" link at the bottom of the page.
I did, but 1 person cant make a diff - its eBay - but many may get them taken down.

bargain ?

so.....if you stick a pressure cooker on a LPG cylinder and put some plastic hose through a dodgy looking, plastic, yabby pump(?) thingy into a bucket then you have all you need for distillation success????!!!!!  Whod've thought :o (afterall, eBay only sells quality mechandise, etc)

  I wonder why all you multi talented, artisan types spend so much effort with copper/ss tubing and condensors and triclamps and parrots and thermos and stuff :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling: Its OBVIOUSLY just so easy to do without..... :laughing-rolling:

(BTW, I think the idea re reporting potential POISON makers, for unsuspecting consumers, to 'relevant authorities' is a good'un too. Anyone else got an idea re the best approach here please....) ;-)

In that last one, the vapor path looks to be all copper, just the condenser jacket is PCV, which is acceptable in my book, ghetto, but not going to do you any harm.
