A question about brass fittings
Do the latest brass fittings 3/4 tee still pose a threat from lead
If so how would you pickle them
I have to build something for a mate that will require 40% neutral to be in contact with brass tees

Why can't you use a copper tee?

You might be able to get rid of the lead in the top layer, but over time you might erode through that, exposing lead again. Unless you want to be pulling it apart every run, I'd recommend just going copper.

Brass can be pickled but submerging in 1 part hydrogen peroxide 2 parts white vinegar for around 5 mins, but this only affects the outer layer and needs to be repeated regularly.
What is it your making? Perhaps a pic or description and someone can come up with another solution that doesn't involve brass.

How about tinning the inside with lead free solder?

Trying to talk a mate out of using plastic for storing 90 $ and 40 % neutral
Ok you make me a 50 litre keg with taps but I want a sight glass up the side

Talk him out of the sight glass if it is the glass cylinder type (about 10mm diameter).
They are very fragile and those compression fittings will break it.
Go for the porthole type that we use for bubbler modules.

Aussie , I was faced with the same issue when I recently made my little extension , i needed to use brass fittings to get the threads I needed to make it modular (so to speak) .

What I did was sleeved each fitting with copper , then tinned the little bit of exposed brass with silversolder . It reduced the ID of the fittings a little bit but not enough to make any difference .
