So this arvo i took all the saddles out of my t500 column to give it a quick clean and put some copper mesh in. There was quite a strong chemical smell when i took the saddles out so i had a look inside and noticed what seems to be melted silicone thats been put around a bolt holding the cooling water outlet bit in. :handgestures-thumbdown: There was a chunk stuck to the inside of the column and some smaller bits, looks like they broke off the main bit around the bolt..

On a scale of 1-10 how screwed is it?
:angry-banghead:
Ive contacted the place i got it from but waiting to hear back after sending pics.
Ill have to save the pics i took as smaller file sizes to upload them later..

Couple of pics. Definitely an odd smell to it too. Ive only done like one TPW since cleaning my saddles and didnt notice any bits or smell then, and the run went smoothly and made a nice neutral, then randomly this now??

Quick update, stillspirits are sending out a replacement column. They (and the distributor, distilleryking.com.au, whom i made the purchase through) have been great about it. Hopefully the new one doesn't do the same thing! x_x
