Cutting open old Still boiler?

Postby bluc » Mon Jul 30, 2018 3:05 pm

Is cutting open a still boiler the same as a petrol tank? Do same precautions need to be taken? I want to convert my old boiler into a gas fired water boiler. Cut lid off for easy cleaning..would prefer not to blow up :D

Unless your doing something really really wrong you shouldn’t have high % fumes in there that could go bang
