Do the rothenberger bottles fit onto the Benzomatic torch as I already have a Benzo torch ?

just checked out my Bernzomatic mapp gas bottle and i don't think it looks like picture where card is being inserted.may be one of the guys on the forum with engineering knowledge could have a look at theirs and compare.and let us know findings.the photos go back 12 months or so and you would think the problem would be solved by now on new products, also states on package complies to Australian standards, hope some one can come up with right information before we all start throwing our torches away or worst getting burnt.

I checked out mine today and had a good read of the site posted on AD and the bottles are different, the bottle in the pics is a tall skinny bottle and mine is the short fat one, the neck of the bottle on mine looks fixed and not like the longer ones.

My torch is also not listed on that site as a problem torch, mines the TS8000.

edit: for anyone that missed it, this is the site I mean http://www.bernzomaticinjuries.com/

yeah i was thinking about those short fat bottles and wondered if they were part of the "fix" the short fat ones would not fall over easy. then they just need to fix the welding etc...

went to bunnings yesterday, looking around the gas bottles and all they sell is the Fat Boy bottles.asked salesman he said '' the tall ones were prone to fall over and get damaged''
