Hi Steve,

Got back tonight and package was here.

Wife has been very curious about what was in the bag.

Looks good, very clean with nice stain and smell from previous contents.

Not sure what I will be able to soak in it yet, need to get something going faster in this cold weather, so far only got one generation stripped of a molasses wash.

hi all .... if anyone missed out i was given 6 barrels from a winemaker, pretty sure they are french but not 100 % sure. Same deal, i will cut it up, u pay for postage.Just let us all know how u use it and how it went. Those of u in the hunter valley, no need for postage..... we meet at a pub, u buy me a beer, i give u the oak (after we swap stories)

I just dropped 2 of Steves sticks in a couple of litres of rum I ran the other day. I will get back to you in a month or so with some results.

I dropped some of Steves oak cut into domino size with a light char from our lpg torch in our bourbon and after 4 days is giving a fruity taste n smell to it,it tastes very nice so far...
