A kilo of the 5Star dominoes will easily oak 100lt@65%ABV if ya use 10gr/lt,they are quality and consistent ta boot wich is very important to me when ya talk about that volume,20bucks extra for that is very cheap in my book considering the overall saveing's we make in this hobby,I like ta use the same products all the time for quality and consistency, and the oak maturation is the last part of a long process and I donot see an advantage in takeing risk's will my hard won spirit at that stage.cheers hillzabilly ;-)

Oak dominoes are sourced from here http://www.suberoak.com/index.php/
When I did the group buys, 20kg bags is what they sell.
Try starting a group buy, you might be surprised by demand

Brew mart on railway parade in Bayswater sells dominoes and staves in both American and French oak. Pretty cheap too!

:text-+1: Still builders generally are the ones to source quality dominos from, hands down and no brainier apposed to HBS. IMO

Goto your local green shed.
You will just need to chop them into slivers and toast/char to your liking
