Ive got 3 25 litre barrels from Roll Out the Barrel. The first is full and about a month and a half old. Im almost ready to fill second one. Once all 3 are full I will be running the Solera system through all 3 so hopefully will be drinking some premium rum in about 8 to 12 months. the best step towards this other than the barrels was buying RM-493 yeast for rum. I'm really liking the taste already with no bitter aftertaste like i was getting with other yeasts. Even as young as the first barrel is I've had a few sneaky tastes and the potential is definitely there to be mind-blowing. Its a lot of work filling a 25l barrel. I have no doubt its going to be worth the work and wait. :D
