ok... an update... NZHD have stepped up and i think will win the internet this week.... i have contacted 2 members who are going to help with the oak thing! win! :handgestures-thumbupleft: :handgestures-thumbupleft: thanks to all involved there (you know who youse are!).

anyhoo.... not much else to report.... container arrived damaged and with things missing, nothing important, just pisses me off.... :angry-banghead: otherwise... got a job and too many hours and am frantically house shopping, keep an eye out for a rebuild thread at some point...

When i was just in new zealand we checked out cardrona and grabbed a bottle of their single malt vodka.. very similar in taste to a low wines final spirit run of the ffv after left alone for a few months. They were great to talk to and i happy to answer any questions i had. We popped our heads into pretty much every hbs we could find over there and i reckon most places stock oak of some kind.

There is also a distillery in blenheim called Prenzel i think which may be forthcoming with info and apparently a really good hbs in Nelson.

You lucky fella, we spent 28 days there and decided we'd happily move there if my industry paid better.
