For all those in Canberra area, found a good source of raw American oak

Turners building supplies in collie st fyshwick. Got a 2.5 m length at 140mm x 25mm for $60

Sounds like a pretty good find, probably a bit more expensive than the offcuts I’ve bought from roll out the barrel up here in Qld but at least you can make every piece the exact size you want and equal :handgestures-thumbupleft:
