Stave thickness

Just wondering if anyone with a 20ltr oak barrel could give me an idea of the thickness of it's staves? Also height of the barrel would be good also. Got a heap of American oak offcuts at work and looking into making a barrel..

Ahhh, thanks, was hoping they would be around 18mm...
Heck, they do alright bending 35mm.. or do you think they carve them exposing end grain? :think:
Will have no where near enough at that thickness.

That is thickness isn't it? Not width of planks?

Yea thickness. Mine has a steel threaded insert but is fairly accurate guesstimate, by stinking finger in then measuring... Pretty sure they are bent.. Maybe combo bent and carved..
