Ok so I've finally finished the Kitchen :happy-partydance: well apart from a few niggly bits :handgestures-thumbdown:
Darlin Yummymummy wanted an Oak bench top.
So only after I had to cut out a huge fucken chunck for the sink to fit in did the cogs finally click.
Thats a lot of fucken Oak :handgestures-thumbupleft:
Questions:
Does anyone know what/where Ikea Oak comes from?
As its lots of laminated strips,40x40mm ,and oiled, can it be used for Oaking ?
I'm thinking cut along the lamination joins to piss off the glue then plain off the top layer to piss of the oil,Does this sound like too much bother ?

Problem is Yummy when you see that in plain and toasted oak that spirit is absorbed all the way through...only when oak is heavily charred I think that t doesn't absorb in...so what do you think happened with the glue for the laminate??
I wouldn't even think about touching it. I'm with Sam; fuck it off, decent oak is cheap :handgestures-thumbdown:

I went one worse and have her the password to my online banking. Thought it was great, she paid all my bills for me etc... I was so naive back then.
