Whet to use?

Postby Dusty_ben » Thu Mar 20, 2014 9:10 pm

Hey guys. Here's my dilemma. ATM I've got 2x2l jars with about a litre n a half mac rum in each and a domino. Just done 5 more litres of rum ready for oak. I've got a 15l demijohn. Should I put the new 5 in there and a few dominos and top it up later? Do 5 individual 1l jars? Want till I've got 15l then oak it all? Very new to this oaking caper. Cheers for the input.

well its all personal preference and I dont have much :laughing-rolling: but your prob better to do in 1lt ones but try different chares, oaks and ratios. Also time on oak that way you can find the better method to use.

I have never done it but if I was in a situation to do so (drank less  or ran more) thats what I would do

I would do several jar of rum see which ones turn out tasting good to your taste then blend the good jars together.
