Dont know really , they have been used once already so I gave them a bit of a re charring on the stove , might have gotten a bit carried away .

Don't worry about it getting dark, as long as you have the grams per liter within margin it will come good (7g to 10g per lt for 12mths is good). Its 2nd use oak so it won't be strong.

If your after a American whisky taste then a good charr helps..
