Flavoring with Sweets

Postby jeracoo » Fri Aug 12, 2011 5:10 pm

Hi all I thought I might try flavoring my likker with some sweets below are the results:

Jaffers 300grams:
First I tried jaffers, so I poured an entire packet of jaffers into 1L of 40%, after about 10 minutes all of the red flavoring from outside of the jaffers had come off, so I quickly strained off the now white jaffa balls.

It tastes pretty good and isn't too cloudy, though I might filter it a bit.

Aero Bar 100 grams:

Broke the Aero bar into pieces and then placed in 1L of 40%, took about a week to dissolve but the flavor was too subtle so I placed in another couple of Aero bars and waited another week for them to dissolve. It was really cloudy and didn't taste too bad but it still isn't very chocolaty, think I'm going to just dump in lots of cocoa powder next time.

The only one Ive ever tried was Mashmellow Vodka. A heap of girls at a party I went to once were drinking it with lemonade from memory. I had a sip and it wasnt to bad.....if ya like marshmellows that is  I asked how they made it and they just used normal vodka and stuck a heap of marshmellows in it. Ive heard Redskins work well too but have never tried it.

Redskins have vegtable gum in them you need to let it sit then filter about 3 times to get the gum out but it tastes good :)
