Turning Vodka green

Postby valkorum » Tue Mar 08, 2016 11:59 am

This not really a flavouring question but I couldn't think where else to put it.

I want to turn some Vodka I have green, is food colouring fine to use? I don't want to impart any flavours to the vodka (ie, using green skittles/lollies).

I believe they use food colouring there as well. I believe I should be using food colouring but just wanted to see if anyone else has tried.

Yes mate food colouring is fine.... Blue Curacao is made using food colouring as are many other cocktail spirits.

I used green food colouring and it worked fine. Is more a light green, but its the thought that counts for my Irish friend this coming St Paddy's day.
