Southern Comfort

Postby JamieC » Sun Apr 24, 2016 8:15 pm

Just wondering if anyone here has tried to make this. My wife loves it. I hate it (Due to a really bad night on it) So far I have tried the Still Spirits version as per recipe. No good. Then my own version aged on Still Spirits southern chips for a week+ Edwards Essence Southern version. Wife likes it. Not bad. But I can still drink it. (The real thing makes me gag, so not the same) I have read the original version used a peach essence. Has anyone here tried to make it?

Macerate some peaches in neutral for a couple of weeks then filter. Add some simple syrup and a small amount of SS SoCo essence. Shake, then leave for a week.
Works a treat.
