Copper Packing

Postby prawnz » Wed Nov 30, 2016 7:33 pm

Finally got some copper pipe today to (among other things) replace the ceramic saddles in my column with copper .

Cant decide on which shape to go with .

Any thoughts ?
Left to right 1 , 2 , 3 or 4 ?

I think #3 would provide the most convoluted vapour path, along with the best vapour/liquid mixing. Be a bastard cutting all them circles in 1/2 though.

I ended up doing a bunch of #2 but folded them in almost half again to make saddle looking triangles. Then because this was so much of a pain in the arse I used circles like #4.
Best thing is to build/ buy a bubbler though. Save all the worry 8-}
