Started on a 2" shotgun today after work came together pretty well I think only have to put on the flange now then build the pot to go with it :-D

Awesome work whats the specs? Did you hard solder braze?

500 long 4 1/2 tubes silver solder tubes and plates soft solder the rest :handgestures-thumbupleft:

That would be good enough to use with a bubbler later?

Just put the flange on and thinking of knocking up the pot what height for the riser and should I make a flange joint between the 2 bends so I can adjust the angle of the condenser? Will. E running of a 30 ltr boiler for now but moving to a keg when I can afford to set it up and learn to tig weld lol :-D

It doesn't really matter what height.
What ever height you need it to hang your shotty vertical, so there's is less weight trying to tip it over :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Riser height doesn't matter, you just need it high enough that your product condenser is far enough away from flame if your using gas, and you can angle the PC to do this. But if your using 2 clamps on the 180 degree bend then you should be able to angle the product output away from any heat source :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Nice job mate :handgestures-thumbupleft: . I've always done 450~500mm with 4 x 1/2 tubes and never had a problem.

Made up the rest of the pot today just need some clamps and adapter from fsd and off I go. Hopefully cleaning run next weekend.

Just a thought though whats you boiler? Does it have enough weight for all that above :-B

Silly question I'm sure, but how did you get it so shiny? Polished out working up in grade of sand paper? Or punishing pad? Looks brilliant mate well done

30 ltr keg king I am just going to see how it goes when I get an adapter for it :think:

If no go I have a keg in waiting just might have to use gas while I wait for electric gear to be fitted

I used a scotch brite pad in the drill got from bgs then a buffing wheel in a cordless drill will get one for the bench grinder next time will make it easier . Polishing kit also available at bgs.

The pipe had been sitting in the rack at work for years and was badly oxidised so needed a good clean up before polishing but came up alright :handgestures-thumbupleft: .

If pipe was new just polish would be ok I think
