Hey guys, just wondering what you guys use to seal your copper to give it a permanent non tarnished look. I've used a heat resistant clear for automotive stuff but that requires you to bake it in the oven, and some parts are too big! Also is heat resistant clear even needed? As the max of a still wouldnt get that ridiculously hot especially compared to auto stuff.

Looked into this and apparently it will still tanish just lot slow. Then you need to strip clear coat buff then re apply. I decided to go for the patina look instead..

Do you mean it will darken like those industrial stills go? Or fully tarnish?

Eventually will fully darken like a commercial still. Not sure how long it takes but from memory not as long as one would think..

Best I've found is the White Knight Hi temp clear from Bunnings, worst is the auto clear from Supercheap.

I don't mind the way those commercial ones go, might have to give it a crack with the white knight then! Cheers fellas
