I am just wondering what the diameter of the probe is ? would it fit inside a bit 5/16" or 8mm tube ie: a thermowell installation

got a shipload of these thermometers, i use them in poultry incubators dont worry about switching them off battery well last 12 months+ even if left on full time.
accuraccy is not these thermometers strong point but at least they have a consistant error so figure out the error in each one and write it on them and you are good to go.
I figure out the error by sticking probe into a ice water slurry which should read 0c. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_t ... _ice_water
thats a good price you found there- i paid a lot more :angry-banghead:

thanks fellas,
as kiwi said, if there is an error, once i find it i can allow for it.
after all, its really to see the changes in temp, not so much the temp itself ;-)
