Can anyone recommend a good place to pick up a cheap stainless steel funnel in Sydney?

Or perhaps a cheap alternative to sit in my collection jars (stubbies)

Yeah I'm a massive tight ass so ebay is always the first place I check.
I think I single handedly got both China and Hong Kong through the GFC with the amount of crap I buy from them.

Just thought $20 was a bit steep for a funnel (told ya , massive tight ass :)) )

I saw a post on another forum where a bloke bought some cheap ss mixing bowls and soft soldered a piece of copper pipe in the bottom of it to make a functional funnel. I decided to do the same and picked up a set of 3 bowls from kmart for $9 and did the same as the other guy and it works a treat.

If you have any 1/2" - 3/4" copper off cuts around it's worth a try.

Cheers for the repost! 1 large ss bowl and 1" pipe will be perfect for my new keg filling funnel.

No worries. I'm doing the same today to the two left over bowls to make a set of 3 funnels for less than $15. So I will have a small bowl with 1/2", medium bowl with 3/4" and the large bowl with 1 1/4" and they will all stack nicely as well.

Just something that popped into my head as I was getting jars.
Saw small stainless steel bowls in The Reject Shop, probably 50mm X4 for about $5 if memory serves. Give or take a dollar and a few mm. Would be great to soft solder some 1/2 inch for a funnel.

not much use to the sydny siders but ss funnels with a groove inside to break air lock are $2 each at Made in Nippon top of queen st auckland by the IMAx cinema :handgestures-thumbupleft:
Borosilicate glass funnels and all grades of filter paper to suit, less than $10 from a laboratory supplies outlet. :handgestures-thumbupleft: :handgestures-thumbupleft: :handgestures-thumbupleft:
