tap locking nuts

Postby dillsandwitch » Mon Nov 19, 2012 7:56 pm

sorry if this is in the wrong place but i didn't really know where else this could go.

So i have bought a couple of handy pails from bunnings and was going to add taps to them to use as fermenters but the thing i have found after drilling the holes and screwing in the taps that they are a little loose. probably from the thinness of the bucket plastic.

does anyone know where i can pick up some locking nuts that will fit the taps. they are just your stander water container taps with a 25mm diameter thread.

thanks in advance

I did that once, I used nut from a brass compression fittingand just kept tightening it till it stopped leaking.
