Is my torch Repairable ?

Postby Yummyrum » Sun Jan 20, 2013 4:47 pm

Don't know if this is the right forum ,please move if not.

Went to use my MAPP torch today .The bottle that was OK a few weeks ago was now empty.

Screwed in my spare and its leaking inside bad. :handgestures-thumbdown:

Pulled it apart and its pissing out gas where the brass bit screws into the Aluminium casting.

Has anyone else had this and was it fixable ? Before I go fuck with it .

Ge-day Crow.

Recon its just over a year old .18 months tops so shit show now of any warranty.
Think I paid around $130 at Gas World for it but not sure.

Cheaper than a new arm I suppose .Just a bit pissed it only lasted that long

+1

That's just shonk Yum.
Chances are you're not the only one who has had issues and they're probs already been onto the supplier telling them they're not happy. I reckon they'll just hand over a new one.
Give it a crack. Tell them you're not happy and see how you go. Don't just go out and buy another one. :handgestures-thumbupleft:
