I don't add chlorine to my rain water, it don't occur naturally, it's not in tank after cleaning...ibft

If it's about chlorine and copper...who knows never used tap water on new stills.

Just a question,

I use a 1400lt galv rainwater tank and pump.

After some 20+ odd runs reckon the water kinda smells musty to me. Tank is cleaned out every start of winter so it's spotless and has 2 x filters on the way in that are cleaned regularly.

Does water when flogged hard go off?

Do u guys treat water with anything?

Have you tested your water?

If as I mentioned your water smells it's surely is worth checking out... Does your IBC get smelly?

How have you treated it? be keen to resolve this smell issue is all.

Don't reckon running it through for a day would hurt much, if you were that concerned run some tap water through it after, but thats usually chlorinated anyway :teasing-tease:

I might give that a whirl as a Davey shop is miles from my place and I can get chlorine at the supermarket I think from memory.

It's just for cooling water, had thought of dumping it but what a shear waste...
