Best Copper Packing for a Potstill?

Gday Folks,

Any thoughts on the preferred copper packing/scrubbers for a pot? :think:

Im waiting on some i've ordered through FSD, but i was curious as to what people are using

Woodsy...Im wondering why you want to stick scrubbers in a pot still.Is it a SS one ? and the copper scrubbwrs are a sulphide removal thing.

I have a copper pot head and dont have any scrubbers in it as I dont need any passive reflux

equipment: Did use Still Spirits Reflux
Now use 50l Keg with Pot head for Rum and Neutral stripping runs on gas .
LM/VM head with 1m packed 2" on Still Spirits boiler for Neutrals.

None, coz in a pot still it isn't going to do anything.

None, coz in a pot still it isn't going to do anything.


assuming that his pot still head is made from copper... otherwise copper scrubber will do wonders in a stainless steel pot

Yep, i have a new FSD potstill and yep the scrubbers are for sulphide removal.

in that case i think 90% of people use the FSD stuff. Im sure if you look around you will find copper mesh that is used for rodent controls. approximately the same price as the FSD products though....
