Skip bin at wrk had heap of ol copper pipes in a variety of smaller sizes got what seemed like 3/4 and few little bits of like 4 and 6mm maybe....? Anyway thought this is just too easy! Pipe at home i cruise on down and pick up some bits for a funnel/catchment sort of deal for each end you all know what i mean. Grabbed my other bits n bobs the only thing not having was a base mount. So get home all happy and excited checkout my reducer attachments :angry-banghead: :angry-banghead: :angry-banghead: :angry-banghead: :angry-banghead: the od of my pipe is wrong

Is the pipe od and id the same as your reducer? If so you will only need a 1" long sleeve that fits the reducer and your good to go.

Your going to need to file out the inner retaining ridge to allow pipe to extend into cup.

Skimming down the pipe is a few mins work = no probs.

Mate told me he has the tools at work today to expand out that reducer so will give it a go. Also has some brown tip(?) 60% silver rods for me might be able to take my $37 roll of solder back to bunnings lol. He's worked with a few plumbers so should know what hes talking about. Brown tip sounds like a shit plumbers term

Brown tip brazing rods are 15% silver.
Good to use as it flows better than the 2% or 5%
Quite expensive so grab it if your mate is giving it to you.

Cheers.

3/4" is too small for most alcometers mate, you'll be pushing the alcometer up the pipe with surface tension, giving you an inaccurate reading ;-) Most guys use 1", 7/8" might do if you can find it.

Lol well I've already got 3/4 so ill give it a go its a nice fit i thought mm or 2 around the alco minimal alcohol will b required but whatever at the very least I've wasted small bit of pipe and solder and gained skills to use on the next one.
