It's under accessories so it can't be a still or a boiler.

Well I'm running out of photos that don't make it blatantly obvious and these next couple of photos will give away what it is, so whiskeyshiner you got it very early on  it is infact a thumper.

But what about all the other bits and pieces?

Ok so i can hear you all thinking, gee that looks a bit small for a thumper?? Well yes you're right it is. It only holds about .7 of a ltr, if my calcs are right :-B  so whats the point of it then? Well what if you had 3 of them? it would be more like 2 ltrs (which is still on the small side but hey it'll do for now). Plus the plates in the still brings me close to the 3ltr mark.

So here it is, my over complicated, outside the box, theme following, glass infused copper thingy thumper,

The Ducks Nuts

And here it is under the newly modified 4 plate Glass Duck

Damn that's impressive. you have some nice skills and outside the box thinking.

I'm keen to hear how it goes. I'm sure a lot of people will be inspired from this build :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Should the new picture with this new thumper replace the featured build pic on the portal page? defiantly a machine now

Love the look of that there thumper thingy ,my only concern would be that the vapour may not decide to split into three even streams, there is only one way ta find out and ya sure got a few of us on the edge of our seats ,soon ! ?.cheers hillzabilly :text-coolphotos:

Woody had some issues with the vapor only choosing one path, but I think he might have it sussed now :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I would have thought that the reflux from the first normal bubble plate would have ta be split into three otherwise two of ya thumpers would run lower ,cheers hillzabilly

Yer there were definitely some issues to begin with :angry-banghead:
the problem i had was while i was building i was so consurned that it would restrict the flow of vapour to the still that i went big with everything to let it breath. My physics aren't real good, volume vs pressure vs vapour speed, you know science and shit. Well turns out i had to restrict it a hell of alot to get them to run even. This scared the shit out of me cause i didn't want a bomb, so while i ran it i had the drain on the bottom of the boiler open into a hose and just kept it higher than the still like a depth/pressure gauge i guess. During the run the pressure only pushed the liquid in the pipe up 50mm at the most so no pressure at all. I may well reduce the diameter size of the riser and cap to give more room for booze :happy-partydance:
