Fitting for Parrot

Postby jeh » Sun Apr 19, 2015 7:15 am

Hi,
About to build a parrot to go with my pot still, but have run into problems with one part :angry-banghead: .
Going to be using 1" for body, 1/4" for inlet, 3/8" for outlet. My problem is Tradelink didn't have any concentric reducers to fit
the 1/4" inlet, for the top feed. Have all the other parts, just not the important one! Tried an air conditioner parts supplier yesterday - no luck.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Use 3/8" or 1/2" for the inlet?

So are you looking for a reducer? one where both are ends share the same center? I havent looked there yet but bunnings may have them.
Are you soft soldering or hard soldering? This link to making copper reducers and funnels may help
Another member (below) put me on to a place in brissy but your in the gold coast so hopefully they have more than one store in brissy/goldy

Thanks Zak & WTD, may have to use 3/8" for inlet & outlet - probably no dramas there, just thought that a smaller inlet may be better for getting a stable reading on the alcometer. I'll just save the 1/4" for a Boka down the track maybe :-D
