Alcometer

Postby gooie » Mon May 25, 2015 1:35 pm

I have just finished my parrot which I made from 3/4 inch copper. I wanted to make it for 1 inch but I have looked high and low at the metal recyclers and couldn't find any 1 inch scrap nor would the local plumbing suppliers sell me less then 6m.....

Does anyone know of an alcometer that will work well with 3/4 inch copper? The one I have is probably a bit too snug to get an accurate reading.

Well that's a spot of luck :handgestures-thumbupleft:
When I'm in a pinch I get them from Costante Imports 379-385 Bell Street, Preston VIC 3072.
Bit of an odd place, full of all sorts of stuff, but they have some useful equipment. I don't really like there alcometers because they're a bit small, and leave useless space in my parrot, but it sounds like they could be just the ticket for you.
They're my closest HBS so on the odd occasion when I need something urgently it's handy to have them around. Probably on the wrong side of melbourne for you but they sell a small alcometer for about $15-18
