Been a busy week in the garage building new toys.
Sure my wife thinks I'm building bongs or something....
Anyways here is my new parrot, to go with new pot still.
Built it a couple of days ahead of the main build to practice soldering skills and happy with the end result.
It is 250mm of 25mm tube and overall needs 100mm of distillate to float the alcoholmeter.
Ran my T5500 the other night using the parrot and it opened up a whole new way to how I can/will run my still.
Instead of fixating on the temperature gauge (ie. 50C -65C)I can use the ABV of the output and run it a lot harder and longer I got to early 90Cs and 40% ABV before the wet dog smell called it a night.

I wouldn't be running it that hot mate, the plastic components in the still aren't designed to deal with temps that high...

I would have fitted the collection cup lower on ya tube ,mine are level with or the tube sits about an inch higher than the cup ,will make checking ABV easy.cheers hillzabilly ;-)

Might see if I can de-solder it and run the tube through.
Thanks for the input.

Good point Zak, don't want to join the leaky t500 club.

I had one similar, and found the stability a problem, until I pinched one of my brothers dive belt weights and mounted it to that.cheers hillzabilly ;-)
