bunnings stainless buckets

Postby bluc » Tue Jul 28, 2015 7:51 pm

Hey all just thought i would let people know that bunnings have some stainless buckets. About $14 for a 15l and $12 for a 9l they are quite weighty and seem good quality. I grabbed one for a strip collection vessel and size is perfect to go under a 320ish mm parrot...

Hmmm, I got these the other day for $9.95... (9L) Might need to question your Bunnings lol.
But all in all they seem good, I got 3, not sure how long the handles will stay on, the spot welds look a little weak but nothing a pop rivet or three wouldn't fix

Yeah I did a quick search and couldn't find them on the web site, I'd say they are a special item, they were in the paint section but not on the shelves, just in a box display.

All good.

I searched too and didn't find any SS buckets. There was a metal bucket, and i wanted to check that that wasn't what you guys were refering to.

I'll most likely be in there on the weekend so will have a look.

The sign on the box was "metal bucket" but label says stainless

These make more sense I think. More capacity and no need to worry about lids.

Bit of glad wrap for a lid?
Works for a wash but how would it go with low wines trying to evaporate?

:wtf:

If you're going to use glad wrap to store low wines, you may as well just use a plastic bucket...

Measure the diameter of top chance you have a saucepan lid same size?. How long were you planning on storing it in there? I am just going to use it to collect then pouring it in a demijohn...

I did not suggest storing the low wines in glad wrap.

If you want to actually store your low wines why not just get another 50l keg, a 2" blanking plate and a 2" triclamp?
