spirits unlimited alcometer HELP

Postby Mad » Sat Sep 05, 2015 12:34 pm

busted my alcometer last night, hard pressed only could pick up a spirits unlimited alcometer on short notice. it seems to have 2 scales gay-lusac which goes to 100% and then cartier 15deg which doesnt go to 100%. WTF is the gay-lusac set @ 20deg? or are they both at 15deg... i was half way through dilution when i saw that there was no 20deg calibration mark on it anywhere... I don't want to go crazy under my desired end point by using the wrong scale... cant find information online as yet to sort it out for me. hoping someone uses the same meter

Im going with gaylussac is calibrated to 20 as my estimates last night before i broke mine i would yeild around the 20ltr mark @40% so working off that and what it is telling me it should be calibrated to 20deg. If not i probably am making a whooole bunch of liquere :angry-banghead:

Try proofing something you have already made and know what it is?
