What would an ideal length for a 2" shotgun condenser?
Will be used on my 2" pot still on a 2000watt boiler.

Edit.. will have 5 or 7 0.5" tubes.

Thanks,
Mag

Hi, my FSD 2" is 400mm, preforms very well, stripping @2400w on a 200L recirculating system the condensate comes out around 20'

Hope this is of some use

You won't get 5 or 7 tubes in a 2 inch shotty. 4 would be the max. I'm making a 40mm shotty ATM with three 1/2inch tubes and it's about 600mm long

Thanks guys, I was thinking about 500-600mm long but just wanted to check. The circles in circles online app shows 5 tubes will fit easly too and if your all getting around 20c with 5 tubes than that's the go by the sounds.

I've got 7 x 1/2" in my 2.5" shotty at 500mm cooled length, I can have my 3 ring burner turned up full bore on my adjustable regulator and as long as I have a bit more than a dribble running through the shotty, it'll knock the vapour down and collect 13L+ per hour (never run it flat out for a long period before, wastes too much gas)
5 tubes at 500mm long should be more than enough

Seeing that photo I would get 9 in there you only need 1/8 in between tubes

Just thinking, if I make it 5 tubes @ say 600-610mm long will it be good enough to use on a 4" bubbler I plan on making in the future?
