Have you ever aged you spirits at 65% with charred oak and got a nice colour but when diluted down ain't so good, then try this.
Get yourself an eye dropper, some food colouring [ Green and Red, Queen is a good brand] and use Three drops of each in 700ml for a whiskey or bourbon shade.
Try it first in water cause it turns out the same as if in booze.
