Southern Comfort

Im not having any luck with the essences ,,,, so i might have better luck making it , i found this on HD

Neutral Spirits 700ml @ about 60 proof
Wide mouth jar. Don’t mash the fruits.
1 Peach - cut into 8 wedges (No skin)
1 Large Navel Orange – cut into 8 wedges (No skin)
½ stick Cinnamon
4 cloves - Do not crush
2 cherries – pierced all over
STEEP THE ABOVE FOR 4 WEEKS then filter

wiki says "Southern Comfort is an American liqueur made from neutral spirits with fruit, spice and whiskey flavorings, 35% alcohol by volume" and "An inch of vanilla bean, about a quarter of a lemon, half of a cinnamon stick, four cloves, a few cherries, and an orange bit or two. He would let this soak for days. And right when he was ready to finish, he would add his sweetener: he liked to use honey

any suggestions ???
