OK the mrs is away and I'm running short on food, so with all the eggs in this I was thinking of bacon and baileys for breakfast

Easy fix, pour Cream into a bowl - drop the bread into muck - drop soaked bread into fry pan.
It would be Aussie Creamy French Toast.
Serve with a side of bacon and liver salts :D

Hey guys ,

Its Mrs Heffers here,

We are wondering (in the interest of our waistlines - esp mine) how long the lovely Aussie Cream will last in the fridge - now I know this may be a hard question based on the above posts but I'm hoping someone might know.

cheers Mrs Heffers (AKA Cat)

G'day Cat,

I've had some in the fridge for about 3 weeks now and it's fine, it's actually mellowed the alcohol flavor somewhat and is more like a choc/vanilla thick shake :D

Cheers.

We've been using 99% fat free sweetened condensed milk just to make it healthy ;)

A variation for the Christmas table, leave out the condensed milk and use UHT custard instead, great for Christmas pud hot or cold, trifles and all manner of desserts. Another variation for the recipe would be a couple of drops of cocunut essense. I have done it with a similar recipe and it was a hit. This year I'll try Aussie Cream

Just made a trial batch of this as a test run for Xmas day. The mix curdled when I added the UJ to the eggs...is this normal??
Could the problem be that I was a bit slack and didnt dilute the UJ....it was still at 65%.

Mate, 65% is probably a little high, i always use 40% and the alc is the last thing to go in the mix,
i heard that you can add alcohol to dairy but not dairy to alcohol ;)

Just had my Dad come up for a visit, and we made up some Aussie Cream. After dragging out an original bottles of Baileys, and doing a taste test wow !!!!, Baileys is only 17% though,,,,,, Me thinks 40% is a far better taste :happy-partydance:

Anyone tried making this with a neutral? I assume the UJSM, etcs is part of the flavour, as with real Irish Cream. I don't have anything but neutral coming anytime soon, so thought I might give it a try anyway. :-)
