cloudy spirit

Postby Plumby » Sat Aug 16, 2014 12:23 pm

I ran my super reflux today with the turbo wash that came in my package. And after collecting 3 litres of clear spirit it started to turn cloudy so i turned it off. What would make this happen and is it ok to water down filter and drink?

Tails, man.

Read this cuts guide

If you've collected in one big jar, your entire run is cactus and you should run it again. Being a turbo wash, you should water it down and run it again anyway.

Chuck a TPW on, too... Heaps better and cheaper than the turbo shit.

If you haven't made proper cuts it would have been better to throw everything back in and start again. There are no shortcuts in this hobby if you want to make good booze.
