T500 Parts

Does anyone know where i can a new plastic rim on the bottom of my turbo 500. Bloody dog knocked it off the table and broke it. Only had it a month or so.. Rrrr ~x( Yes it was empty.

Have you got a home brew shop nearby? They would prob be your best bet :handgestures-thumbupleft:

The T500 boiler has a plastic skirt around the bottom that contains the elements which are stuck to the base of the metal section and the switch/thermal overload wiring (I've got a post here somewhere here showing the guts). I'm think that is what Alan is talking about rather than the plastic section on top of the column since he mentioned the plastic on the bottom.

Thats correct. It is a skirt around the bottom.

I doubt you'd find a replacement for it. I'd imagine the HBS folk would suggest you buy a new boiler.

For what it's worth, could you Macgyver a stand or something to get you through? :think:

Have a look at plastic welding may be an option.

Or see your local hbs i actually was thinking of the plastic bit on the still not the boiler base. My local sometimes gets non working ones then you could swap the base over..
