Yeah don’t waste your money on the alembic pot, there is no way to make it good.
Build your own, it’s cheaper and way better.

:text-+1: on what these guys said, it's incredibly overpriced for what it does, and it doesn't even do it that well (I had one and gave it away...). There are much better pot stills out there for the money if you don't want to DIY one. 5 Star do a cracker 2" pot that would be suitable for you turbo boiler - you just need to wait for them to get their web site back up.

That doesn’t sound right. Are you sure that is for the 2” pot? It used to be around the $400 mark.

Man I can relate. I had a dodgy SS column that the supplier was happy to replace, so i asked about paying the difference to get a copper reflux column or the alembic top, which he was happy to do, but decided to just replace the SS column and save up for a FSD pot. Now just waiting on them to re-setup shop and ill be ordering from them ASAP. But ive yet to decide between the straight 2" pot still or the slight upgrade of the 2" - 4" with parrot.
Either way, i'ld much rather spend my $$$ on something modular and well reviewed by the community than the still spirits alembic top.
